Women Who Have More Sex Has Wide Hips

This study was conducted at the University of Leeds in the UK. They recruited women between 18 and 26 years old to measure their hips and asked to complete a questionnaire about their sexual history. They found that although women with wide hips (over 36 inches) and narrow hips are more or less the same amount of serious relationships, more curved girls tend to have more casual sex.

But what can be the reason behind this? According to these researchers, it comes down to biology. According to the Huffington Post which began the study with a theory called the obstetrician's dilemma, in which it is believed that human sacrifice ease of giving birth for the privilege of walking upright.

Wide hips are better to give birth, but narrow hips were necessary for walking, so women's bodies retain a balance between these two features.

 

The reason why women wide hips might be more open to casual sex is evolutionary, narrow hips are at greater risk when giving birth. So it may be something unconscious, something of survival.
